REQUIREMENTS |
Home About Us Rates Gallery Service Areas Doggie Day Care | All dogs must be current on their rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines. All cats must be current on their rabies vaccine. Proof of vaccines must be given to Countess Critters. Copies of these certificates may be obtained from your veterinarian's office. A free "get acquainted" visit is required prior to the pet sitting visits. During this visit we will meet your pets, pick up the vaccine certificates, discuss the details of your absence and what your pets will require in your absence. You can review the details of our contract and sign a veterinarian's release form giving us authorization to take your pet(s) to the doctor if such need arises. You will have the option of being notified prior to the veterinarian visit or you can leave it to our discretion in case of emergencies. Your pet(s) health and safety are our #1 concern! Also during this visit we need to find out how many visits a day Fido or Princess will require, any special feeding requirements, medications, and any other special concerns you may have. At this time we will pick up a key to your house. Keys are kept on file for future use. If you want your key back, we will give one complimentary Return Key Trip. Otherwise, there is a $15.00 trip charge to pick up keys and $15.00 to return them. If you are out of our service area, then the Out-Of-Area Fee also applies. If you would like your mail brought in, then we will need to pick up your mailbox key too. Please make sure all pets have collars and proper identification tags on them even if they are inside pets. Sneaky critters have been known to make a mad dash out the front door upon its opening! If your pets will have access to the outdoors in your absence, make sure there are no escape routes for your pets. Make sure all fence posts are sturdy and they cannot dig under the fence. Lock gates so no one can enter the property and leave the gate open. Should we arrive and find a pet missing, we will have to charge for the time it takes us to look for your pet. We are not responsible for run-aways in our absence. We want your pets to be comfortable and keep their routines as close as possible to when you are home so please make sure we have access to their favorite play toys, treats, food etc. We will designate a certain place for you to put your pet food, food dishes, clean-up bags, cleaning supplies (for those unexpected accidents!), medications and leashes. Due to the liability involved we will only take dogs on walks who are leash trained. Dogs must not pull excessively, charge at cars, people, other animals, or race down/up stairs. Maximum of 2 dogs per walk. This is for the safety of the pet sitter, the pets and the general public. | Adopt A Pet 24 hr Emerg. #'s SPCA's Pet Links Benefits Contact Us Lost & Found |
